The Iun Orok Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom presents players with a unique physics-based challenge known as The Right Roll. Tucked away deep inside a subterranean cavern, this trial tests Link's ability to fuse and balance rolling spheres to activate pressure targets. Completing this shrine requires careful positioning and clever application of the Ultrahand ability.
Locating the Iun Orok Shrine
Finding the shrine is half the journey, as it is hidden within the Tanagar Canyon West Cave in the Tabantha Frontier region. Players must navigate down into the canyon depths and prepare for chilly temperatures before entering the cavern network. Inside the cave, breaking through several stubborn rock walls is necessary to reveal the shrine entrance.
Equipping cold resistance armor or consuming warming meals makes exploration much easier. Once inside the cavern, following the underground path while clearing rock obstructions leads directly to the shrine portal.
Solving the First Sphere Rolling Puzzle
Upon stepping inside the shrine, you are greeted by a single metallic sphere resting near a steep ramp. On the lower floor sits a large circular target switch embedded in the ground. Using Ultrahand, pick up the sphere and release it at the top of the ramp to let gravity roll it straight into the target.
When the sphere strikes the center of the target, the mechanism lights up green and opens the gateway to the second chamber. This initial room serves as a straightforward introduction to the trial's core rolling mechanics.
Combining Spheres for the Curved Ramp
The second room introduces a trickier challenge featuring two spheres of equal size and an uneven, angled ramp. Attempting to roll a single sphere causes it to veer off track immediately and fall short of the target. To correct its trajectory, fuse the two spheres together side by side using Ultrahand.
Place the connected spheres onto the ramp so the wider structure maintains stability as it descends. The balanced distribution keeps the object aligned, allowing it to hit the target switch cleanly and unlock the next door.
Mastering the Three Sphere Slope
In the final puzzle chamber, you will discover three spheres of varying sizes that must navigate a narrow, peak-shaped ramp. Rolling individual spheres down this ridge will cause them to tumble off the sides. The solution requires attaching all three spheres together in order of size to create a cone-like shape.
Position the fused structure carefully at the top of the ridge with the largest sphere on the outer edge. As it rolls down the angled slope, the size differential compensates for the ramp's tilt, guiding the structure directly into the large target switch.
Claiming the Treasure and Light of Blessing
Before concluding the trial, take advantage of the combined sphere structure to reach the elevated chest resting on a high ledge. You can fuse the spheres into a makeshift ramp or ladder, allowing Link to climb up easily and claim the bonus reward.
Once the final target is activated and the chest is collected, proceed through the opened doorway to the altar. Interact with the glowing sigil to receive a Light of Blessing and successfully complete the Iun Orok Shrine.
